What parent doesnt want to see their children succeed at school? The answer to that is, of course, that we all do whether thats paying the fees to get them into one of the top private schools or being prepared to pay travel costs across town to a better school let alone the small fortunes we pay for equipment, books extra tuition and computers to help them. But what do you do about your childrens diet to help them succeed at school? Well heres some news about how one health supplement in particular can boost your childrens brain power.

Fatty acid supplements.

Don’t think you kids will eat oily fish - then get them an omega-3 fatty acid supplement.

Tests from Imperial College London and in County Durham, England, revealed that children, aged between 8 and 13, given the fatty acid supplement VegaEPA showed an astounding three years worth of brain growth in just three months. Not only was that observed through brain scans showing increased growth of nerve fibers, but it was accompanied with improvements to the childrens reading, concentration and memory function. To be more specific their reading age increased by around one year, their handwriting was more accurate and neater and they had much longer attention spans in class. The significance of VegaEPA is that being a fatty acid supplement it contains omega-3 fatty acids. Therefore, if you cant get VegaEPA there are plenty of other fatty acid supplements and foods containing omega-3 fatty acids such as oily fish like salmon. Another great health supplement rich in fish oil and a source of omega-3 fatty acids for children is, of course, cod liver oil.

Adult brain boosting supplements.

Lots of health and vitamin supplements are associated with aiding the memory and boosting brain power. However, is there one health supplement in particular to be recommended to help boost our brain power? Well actually both lecithin and choline spring to mind here. They are both found naturally in foods containing fatty acids like liver and eggs, or can be taken as supplements usually in a capsule form. Lecithin and choline both act on the nervous system with choline being especially beneficial as it is a key component of acetylcholine a chemical in the brain that is important to our memory function.

There are several remedies with which one can keep his/her brain healthy in order to be healthy. Healthy brain needs only good sleep, good diet and proper environment around you. One you are ready to adopt all this things that time youll realize that how helpful it is.
